The company is currently hiring for a full-time Cook position located at 700 15th Street SW, Auburn, WA 98001. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $24.80 per hour, with a full-time schedule that may vary but generally runs from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm. This Cook position is integral to ensuring high standards in food preparation and service, adhering to federal, state, and corporate guidelines and regulations. The role requires a seasoned cooking professional with experience in cooking and catering, coupled with a valid driver's license.

As a Cook at Eurest, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving meals according to standardized recipes while ensuring food safety, quality, and presentation standards are met at all times. The position demands a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, including tasting food items to guarantee taste quality and using proper portioning during meal service. The cook will operate and maintain kitchen equipment, uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards, and participate in production planning, ordering, and inventory management. Safety in the workplace is paramount, and the Cook must adhere to company policies, including the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques. This role also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and maintaining good relationships with coworkers, management, and customers.

Job Duties

  • prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • tastes all prepared food items
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • responsible for records from area worked during service periods
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
  • assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
  • reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
