The Cook position at Ivy Park at Laguna Creek offers an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to delivering the best and freshest cuisine in the senior living industry. The kitchen operates on a full scratch basis, focusing on seasonal menus that utilize high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. The culinary team crafts exceptional meals in state-of-the-art kitchens, referred to as "Chef's Playgrounds," equipped with the most modern tools and technology. This role involves working various shifts from Sunday to Thursday, between the hours of 6am and 6pm, with a competitive wage ranging from $17.00 to $17.25 per hour.

Job Requirements
- Line cook experience in a full scratch kitchen or restaurant
- 2 to 5 years experience on a fast-paced line or prep cook line station
- Ability to execute flawless dishes in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate with a friendly demeanor with all staff
- Passionate about service to others and creating exceptional food experiences
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests including physical and TB tests
- Compliance with COVID-19 health and safety protocols as per regulatory guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a line cook in a full scratch kitchen or similar fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition
- Passion for hospitality and serving others
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook daily meals from scratch in accordance with seasonal menus
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient meal service
- Interact with residents and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and stocking ingredients
