Morrison Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Cook at Huntsville Memorial Hospital located in Huntsville, TX. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $13.00 per hour with a varying day schedule typically from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in nourishing patients, caregivers, and communities by preparing high-quality meals that meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. The position involves adherence to federal, state, and corporate policies and procedures, ensuring every meal served is both safe and delicious.

Job Requirements
- Must have prior cooking experience preferred

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and presentation
- uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies
- reports maintenance needs and faulty equipment
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean work environment
- ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures consistent with HACCP standards
- adheres to company safety policies including use of gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- performs other duties as assigned
