Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One year experience in nursing home or hospital type setting as a cook preferred
- SERVSafe certification required or to be obtained within three months of hiring
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Able to perform basic math calculations including weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements
- Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications
- Must be reliable and consistently at work when scheduled

Job Duties
- Prepare meals from scratch following recipes and state regulations
- Perform food preparation tasks including prepping, baking, slicing, and roasting
- Maintain accurate inventory control and monitor food supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards such as SERVSafe regulations
- Follow written and verbal instructions carefully
- Measure ingredients accurately using weights, temperatures, fractions, and measurements
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
