Job Requirements
- Demonstrated cooking ability
- experience organizing and planning food service operations
- experience with food ordering, budget management, inspection planning and compliance
- experience with equipment operations and repair
- ability to manage operations within budgetary guidelines
- flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Two years of paid food service experience
- at least one year of food service experience with administrative duties
- demonstrated ability to organize and manage food service operations within budget
- knowledge of food service regulations and safety standards
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen environments
- effective communication and record-keeping skills
Job Duties
- Prepares meals and supplements for facility residents
- assists in planning and implementing menus that comply with regulations
- manages food and kitchen inventory and ordering
- maintains sanitary and safety standards in kitchen and serving areas
- maintains written records regarding food service operations
- keeps working knowledge of procedures and policies
- participates in required meetings and works additional hours as needed
