Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of cooking experience in a hospital or long-term care facility
- Ability to read and follow recipes and special diet orders accurately
- Must obtain and maintain a ServSafe Certificate
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must obtain and maintain a ServSafe Certificate
- Knowledge of PCC documentation system preferred
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and portion control guidelines
- Cook a variety of foods in large quantities, including special diets and pureed foods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area
- Record food temperatures and ensure proper food handling practices
- Assist in meal service and clean-up, including cooking stations and serving carts
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitizer buckets with quaternary solution
- Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor
- Participate in staff training and ensure food is presented in an appealing manner
- Communicate any resident concerns to the Administrator or Director of Nursing
