This job opportunity is for a Cook with Aramark, an essential role for bringing recipes to life while allowing creative freedom in the culinary arts. As a Cook on the Aramark team, you will have the chance to experiment with various methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and more. Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
