The Newbury Park location at 935 Broadbeck Drive in Thousand Oaks, CA is currently seeking line cooks to join its vibrant team. This role is pivotal to the guest experience as it directly impacts the quality and presentation of the food served. The position offers a starting wage of $17.25 per hour plus tips, with cooks typically earning an average of $2.00 more per hour thanks to gratuities. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Cooking experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to learn and adapt to company standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food for our guests to Islands' recipes, builds and presentation standards
  • maintain clean, safe and organized storage and work areas and assist with stocking and rotating product to ensure freshness
  • operate and maintain all kitchen equipment and follow proper safety and sanitation procedures
  • participate in Islands Culture of Respect that promotes inclusion among all employees
