We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Cook for a full-time role based in Wichita, Kansas at Koch Industries, located at 4111 East 37th Street. This position offers steady work from Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing a structured and consistent schedule for the incoming candidate. As a Senior Cook, you will be instrumental in preparing nutritious and flavorful meals while overseeing various kitchen operations. The position requires extensive experience in cooking and kitchen management, emphasizing adherence to federal, state, local, and company standards and regulations. The successful candidate will assist in supervising food service associates, ensuring that all culinary tasks are executed with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities include preparing entrees and menu items from established recipes, maintaining high food safety standards in compliance with HACCP guidelines, and performing routine cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Furthermore, the Senior Cook will contribute to accurate documentation of production records and assist in employee cross-training to foster a collaborative and efficient kitchen team. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a cook or senior cook in a commercial kitchen
  • ability to work full-time Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • strong attention to detail
  • capability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • ability to comply with federal, state and local health regulations

Job Duties

  • oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • operate and clean equipment after each use
  • perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • store, label and date food items according to policy
  • help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned
  • assist in the cross training of employees
  • perform other duties as assigned
