Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year food service experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handlers Permit
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Basic math and accounting skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
Job Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year food service experience
- Ability to understand and follow standardized recipes
- Basic oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate interpersonal and organizational skills
- Basic math and computer skills

Job Duties
- Prepare food by washing, processing, assembling, portioning, cooling, cooking, baking, packaging, storing and serving appropriate quantities according to specifications
- Accurately read and interpret standardized recipes
- Set up work and serving areas according to daily menu
- Maintain work and serving areas in a clean, sanitary and safe condition
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including mixers, slicers, processors, convection and combi ovens, tilt skillets, grills, chillers, warmers, coolers, and freezers
- Pack and wrap food items following established procedures and portion control standards
- Complete and maintain production records, time and temperature logs, transport records, and computerized food and beverage sales transactions
- Follow cleaning responsibilities such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning
- Assist in preparing and serving food for special events
- Attend meetings and professional development training
- Perform other duties as assigned
