The Cook position at Aramark, specifically located at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado, offers a dynamic and engaging role for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food preparation. Working as a Cook, the individual will not only prepare meals but also experiment with cuisines, flavors, and cooking techniques, enriching the customer's dining experience. The position requires availability to work flexible shifts between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including weekends and holidays, to maintain a consistent and high-standard food service.

Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math skills
- good communication skills
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- willingness to work shifts between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM including weekends and holidays
- ability to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- availability to work at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- ensure security of company assets
