The Cook position at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team focused on culinary excellence and innovation. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, reflecting the company’s good faith estimate of compensation. In this role, the Cook will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and production guidelines while maintaining food safety and sanitation protocols. The position requires setting up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, measuring and preparing ingredients through chopping, mixing, and trimming, and safely using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Cooking methods will include baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, among others, ensuring that all food is properly garnished and portioned before serving. Emphasis on excellent customer service and teamwork is essential, as the Cook interacts with colleagues and guests, promoting a positive and safe work atmosphere. Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- knowledge of basic food preparation and safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills

Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
