Job Description
Ivy Park Post Acute is a well-established 150-bed post-acute care facility located conveniently at 5609 5th Ave, Pittsburgh. As part of the PACS network, America's fastest-growing network of post-acute care organizations, Ivy Park is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to its residents. The facility is currently under new management, bringing fresh energy and direction with a new Director of Nursing (DON) and robust clinical and rehabilitation teams. Positioned on a bus line, Ivy Park ensures easy access for both staff and visitors. The facility prides itself on fostering a culture built on values such as love, excellence, trust, accountability, mutual respect, and fun, creating a supportive and enriching environment for both residents and employees.
We believe in nurturing our staff much like nurturing plants — with attention, effort, and the right environment to grow and thrive. Ivy, the namesake of the establishment, symbolizes growth and adaptability, and our team members are encouraged to develop their skills and careers within the supportive space we provide. We are especially keen on hearing your professional aspirations, such as pursuing higher education or specializations, and are committed to assisting you in achieving these goals.
The role available involves shift work starting at 5 a.m. and centers on preparing and serving nourishing meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents. Working under the supervision of our Dietary Manager, you will ensure food preparation adheres to all state, federal, and local regulatory standards. This position is vital in supporting our residents' health and well-being, as meals play a critical role in their recovery and quality of life.
Offering competitive compensation at $18-$20 per hour, Ivy Park Post Acute provides numerous benefits to support your personal and professional well-being. These include paid time off (PTO) for your birthday, a variety of healthcare plans designed to fit diverse budgets, free telehealth visits for convenient medical consultations, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options to maximize your healthcare spending, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching to help secure your financial future, and opportunities for career advancement within the organization.
At Ivy Park Post Acute, you will find a nurturing workplace environment where your compassion and excellent communication skills will be highly valued. Previous kitchen experience in a healthcare setting and the ability to prepare food in accordance with special diets are ideal for succeeding in this role. We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace as an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds.
Joining Ivy Park means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values each employee's contribution to making a difference in the lives of our vulnerable resident population. We invite you to grow with us and help shape the future of post-acute care - because we know that when our staff flourishes, our residents benefit the most.
