The job involves setting up workstations, preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, chopping, peeling, and trimming, and skillfully using utensils and equipment like knives, ovens, stoves, mixers, and slicers. A variety of cooking methods—baking, roasting, broiling, steaming—will be employed to prepare meat, vegetables, and other foods. Portioning and garnishing are conducted according to standards to maintain presentation quality. Food storage follows strict safety policies to avoid contamination and ensure freshness.
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment is a critical duty, alongside adherence to Aramark’s safety policies and procedures. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with customers, colleagues, and clients. Employees must also ensure the security of company assets while performing their duties.
This position may require physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. The Cook may also need to wear uniforms and follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols.

- experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
