  • At least 18 years of age
  • able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • demonstrated leadership, training, and supervision skills
  • proficient communication skills
  • physically active with ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • able to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable with extreme temperatures
  • able to work indoors and outdoors
  • criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
  • demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day
  • ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene and sanitary food preparation
  • maintain proper food temperatures
  • familiarize with residents and their preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and mess hall
