Job Description

A long-term care facility is seeking a Cook to maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. The Cook will be responsible for preparing tasteful meals, cooking a variety of foods in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guides, preparing special diets accurately, recording food temperatures, preparing pureed foods, and working in cooperation with personnel in all departments. Additionally, the Cook will assist with serving meals, clean cooking areas and serving carts, report resident care concerns, participate in staff training, and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
