The role of Food Preparation Associate within Baptist Health is integral to this mission, focusing on preparing and producing meals for patients and guests that meet strict quality standards while adhering to departmental goals. This position follows standardized recipes and daily production charts to ensure consistency in food preparation. In addition, it requires adherence to food service requirements that include quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness, all while strictly complying with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures to maintain food safety.

The Food Preparation Associate will utilize standard food preparation equipment and utensils, employing all measuring devices appropriately. This role demands attention to detail, knowledge of sanitation and safety principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within the food service team. The position offers an estimated pay range of $16.00 to $18.30 per hour, depending on experience, and supports a work environment committed to inclusivity and equal employment opportunities. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
