Job Requirements

  • One year of cooking experience in a restaurant or healthcare environment
  • ANSI Accredited Texas Food Handler or ANSI Accredited Food Manager course or Certified Food Manager from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Availability to complete established competencies within the introductory period

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • One year of cooking experience in a restaurant or healthcare environment
  • Certification as an ANSI Accredited Texas Food Handler or ANSI Accredited Food Manager course
  • Certified Food Manager from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District
  • Ability to maintain food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for various areas of the department following established recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Assist with inventory control and storage of food items
  • Complete all assigned competencies within the designated introductory period
  • Support team members and perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ensure timely and accurate meal preparation according to dietary requirements
