The position available is Cafeteria Cook, Server, Prep for 7 hours a day, designed to support the daily food service operations within the school's cafeteria. This role is integral to delivering freshly prepared, safe, and nutritious meals to students and staff while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation and serving according to planned menus and standardized recipes to ensure consistency and compliance with age-appropriate portion sizes and state guidelines. Responsibilities include checking food shipments, cleaning kitchen equipment, maintaining storage areas like coolers and freezers, and supporting payment collection for meals and a la carte purchases.

This is a seasonal position running for 184 days, with an hourly pay rate of $14.00, reporting directly to the Cafeteria Manager and Building Principal. The candidate will primarily interact with students but also collaborate with parents and community members, embodying a service-oriented mindset that fosters a positive dining experience. The role requires adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local food service regulations and compliance with school policies for safety and health. Duties will also include dishwasher tasks such as maintaining sanitary conditions and operating dishwashing equipment effectively.
