Job Requirements
- Previous cook experience in a restaurant environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Basic ability to read and write
- Must be able to understand basic math for recipe preparation

Job Duties
- Complete opening checklists
- Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking using ovens, stock pot burners, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
- Consistently comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of food prepared
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, walls, ovens, fryers, stock pot burners, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
- Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to Kitchen Manager
- Inform Kitchen Manager immediately of product shortages
- Use Standard Recipe Book for preparing all products
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager on duty
- Follow handwash policy
