This role is a temporary employment opportunity tailored to the duration of the PGA Championships event. The selected candidates will be required to work a set schedule spanning over a week, covering various shifts from early morning to evening hours. A special bonus is offered to those who complete all eight days of work without lateness or absence, underscoring the importance of reliability and commitment in this position.
As a Cook for the PGA Championships with Patina Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for preparing food items according to established recipes and specifications before and during the event. This position demands high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control. Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in handling kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Requirements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids
- Ability to lift and carry large pans up to 50 lbs
- Ability to handle and/or operate all kitchen equipment in a safe manner
- Standing and walking for entire length of shift
- Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting
- Pushing and pulling occasionally to move equipment, mops, and brooms
- Ability to work the schedule as outlined from May 10 to May 17, including Sundays
- Commitment to punctuality and attendance
- Ability to communicate promptly with the screening team
- Ability to work in a hot and damp kitchen environment
- Ability to work safely in a moderate-to-high noise level environment
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 months previous experience in back-of-the-house foodservice position
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- Basic math skills to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions
- Available leading up to and during the event
Job Duties
- Prepares food to specifications before and during the event
- Properly measures and portions all food items
- Utilizes kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens
- Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
- Keeps workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
- Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet
- Completes end of day inventory and other opening/closing duties
- Performs other duties assigned
