Job Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • experience in kitchen required including food preparation and kitchen routine
  • bilingual English-Spanish or English-Navajo helpful
  • have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
  • pass health exam and TB test in accordance with PMS policies
  • successful completion of criminal background checks

Job Qualifications

  • experience in kitchen operations including food preparation and kitchen routine

  • ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
  • knowledge of USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program and Head Start nutrition standards

Job Duties

  • prepare meals according to USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program and Head Start nutrition standards
  • operate kitchen in compliance with New Mexico Child Care licensing regulations
  • maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen areas
  • deliver meals to multiple Head Start centers as needed
  • assist in inventory management and food storage
  • adhere to First Aid and BLS/CPR protocols
  • support program operations by reassignment to various centers as required
