The role of Cook at Seaton Senior Living is a full-time position that is essential in supporting the dining experience of residents by preparing delicious and well-presented meals. This position requires a professional who can prepare both hot and cold menu items, efficiently managing various cooking stations including the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line. The cook ensures meals are prepared according to prescribed menus and standardized recipes, maintaining high standards for portion control and food safety. Attention to detail in food presentation and quality is essential, as is the ability to taste and assess dishes for optimum palatability.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties
- Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, saute station, salad-bar and on the service line
- Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes
- Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations
- Follow food safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
- Monitor and replenish food supplies as needed
