The role of Cook at Seaton Senior Living is a full-time position that is essential in supporting the dining experience of residents by preparing delicious and well-presented meals. This position requires a professional who can prepare both hot and cold menu items, efficiently managing various cooking stations including the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, saute station, salad-bar and on the service line
  • Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations
  • Follow food safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
  • Monitor and replenish food supplies as needed
