The Cook CD - Standard role at HMSHost is an essential culinary position responsible for preparing cooked foods across multiple stations, including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg preparation areas. This hands-on role requires following detailed recipes and product directions to ensure food quality and safety meet company and regulatory standards. The cook must taste products, adhere to menu guidelines, monitor production levels, and keep accurate records for supply requisitions. This non-exempt position typically reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager depending on location. The Cook CD - Standard position demands food preparation skills and knowledge of food safety practices, along with experience in fast-paced, high-volume dining environments. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in hot environments. This role offers a wage of $17.00 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, meal and transportation benefits, retirement plans with company match, tuition reimbursement, and more.
