In this position, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods according to standardized recipes and production guidelines. Your work will involve setting up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items, and using kitchen utensils and equipment safely and effectively. You will operate ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers, utilizing multiple cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. A key aspect of the role is ensuring food is arranged, garnished, and portioned according to company standards while strictly adhering to food safety policies and proper storage practices.
Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment is critical, including the upkeep of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment. - Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
