The role of Cook at Edgewood is pivotal in providing excellent dining experiences to residents, staff, and guests. This position primarily involves preparing meals according to established menus and recipes while also assisting in meal planning and preparation for special resident and employee events. The position works with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant institutional policies. The Cook plays an essential role in managing budget goals and inventory control, supporting the overall operational success of the community. This part-time role includes afternoon shifts mainly on Monday through Wednesday and Fridays, from 11 AM to 7 PM, with some occasional pick-up shifts. Weekend availability is a must, supporting mixed shift schedules that enhance flexibility. Edgewood provides comprehensive training—including any necessary certifications required to succeed in this role—and values candidates who are passionate about helping others and committed to ongoing professional growth. The starting wage for this position is $18.00 per hour.
