The role of the Café Lead at Urban Air Appleton is a vital position within the organization. This hands-on and dynamic role involves managing the day-to-day shift operations of the Urban Air Café. The Café Lead is responsible for overseeing the kitchen and service area, ensuring that food preparation and guest service are conducted with speed, efficiency, and a friendly attitude. Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- minimum of six months to one year of prior food and beverage experience in quick service and/or restaurant
- one year of leadership experience preferred
- must have current ServSafe or similar food handling certification or be willing to obtain within first 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Support the proper execution of all processes, systems, and standards
- ensure all deliveries are received correctly and logged in the absence of the Café Manager
- maintain storage and rotation to minimize wastage
- manage the Café Team ensuring they work to the expected standards
- adhere to scheduled shifts and stay beyond when necessary
- train Café Team in preparing the full menu and front-of-house staff in preparing drinks and ready-to-eat foods
- set a high standard and lead by example in punctuality, attendance, attitude, cleanliness, and hygiene
- maintain well-organized and easy-to-access Café and storage areas
- handle guest concerns regarding the Café in absence of the Café Manager
- participate in regular staff meetings and training
