The position requires familiarity with various kitchen equipment like mixers, ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors, as well as flexibility to work independently or as part of a team. Employees in this role must demonstrate strong communication skills, basic math proficiency for recipe measurements, and the physical capacity to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. This position offers an eight-hour day shift schedule with 40 hours per week and a salary range of $17.00 to $23.00 hourly, reflecting its non-union employment status. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
- Basic math skills
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training
- Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated time frame depending on location
- Additional Serv Safe endorsements may be required depending on location
- Fulfill annual continuing education requirements including safety education and mandatory in-services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on location
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive may be required depending on location
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble, and cook baked goods and other food items
- Season and portion food according to dietary and menu requirements
- Adhere to food quality standards including appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
- Perform washing and cleaning duties to maintain sanitation and cleanliness
- Maintain proper labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
- Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines for food safety
- Document HACCP steps, temperatures, and production outcomes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, grills, fryers, and dishwashers
- Work effectively with internal customers and team members in a dynamic culinary environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation processes
- Demonstrate ability to work independently when necessary
- Exhibit proficiency in basic math and reading recipes
- Demonstrate physical stamina to be on feet and walk throughout the facility
