The Nutrition Group specializes in a wide range of support services such as K-12 Meal Services, Commissary, Custodial and Maintenance Management, Business and Industry, and Consulting. This diverse portfolio demonstrates their dedication to providing comprehensive services in food management and beyond, ensuring quality, safety, and satisfaction for all stakeholders.

The open position is for a Cook at Renaissance Academy Charter School Cafeteria. This role operates Monday through Friday in accordance with the school calendar during the academic year, offering summers off, which is an excellent fit for candidates seeking work-life balance aligned with school schedules. As a Cook at Renaissance Academy Charter School, the successful candidate will be engaged in preparing and cooking nutritious meals that comply with health and safety standards. Essential functions of the role include following HACCP guidelines and adhering to health department regulations, ensuring that all food preparation areas meet sanitation standards, and maintaining accurate accounting practices. The cook will also manage food orders, control costs and inventory efficiently, and coordinate communications with school district officials to meet specific meal service requirements.

This role demands an individual who not only possesses basic cooking and food handling skills but also demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication capabilities. Although food service experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in food services within an educational environment. The candidate must have the ability to apply basic math skills for recipe reading and portion controls and must successfully complete background clearances as part of the employment process.

Working with The Nutrition Group means joining a people-oriented company dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion. The organization prides itself on creating an equitable workplace environment where all qualified applicants are evaluated fairly, regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. This commitment ensures that every employee feels valued and supported, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission and the communities they serve.

In summary, this Cook position offers a unique blend of stability, meaningful work, and a supportive company culture. It is ideal for those who want to contribute to the health and well-being of students through quality meal preparation while enjoying the benefits of a structured schedule and competitive pay.
