As a Cook, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality meals following standardized recipes and client requirements. Your tasks will involve preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling, as well as using various kitchen utensils and equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Cooking techniques will include baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming a diverse range of meats, vegetables, and other food items. Presentation is also key, as you will arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines. Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards is a critical part of your role, including properly storing food, cleaning, and sanitizing workspaces, utensils, and equipment.

Moreover, maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and coworkers is essential. You will also adhere strictly to Aramark’s safety policies and procedures, including those related to accurate food safety and sanitation, while ensuring the security of company assets. The role may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Depending on the work location, uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) might be mandatory.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required

  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
