The Cook position at Meridian Senior Living is an integral role within their Dining Services team, working in close collaboration with the Dining Services Manager to oversee the community's food ordering, preparation, and delivery processes. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- successfully complete training as required by state regulations
- obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- six months prior experience in food service preferred
- previous experience working with the elderly
- compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- ability to work responsibly as a team member and individual
- effective communication skills
- meet all health requirements and pass background checks
Job Qualifications

- supervisory experience desirable

- previous experience working with the elderly

- meet all health requirements and pass background checks
Job Duties
- work closely with Dining Services Manager to plan and prepare meals
- ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing manner
- maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanliness
- manage supplies and equipment efficiently
- provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- assist with food ordering and inventory management
