Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • healthcare food service experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies using proper food handling techniques
  • review menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets before meal preparation
  • prepare and serve diets accurately and attractively using standardized recipes and portions
  • test and taste food for quality including appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature
  • time the preparation of meals and snacks to meet service schedules
  • check trays for accuracy and quality before delivery
  • serve on tray line and deliver carts to floors as needed
