Job Requirements
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand up and move about the kitchen
- ability to handle food objects products and utensils
- ability to bend stoop kneel
- communication skills for interaction with kitchen staff and supervisors
- reading and writing abilities for meal preparation and scheduling assistance
- mathematical skills including basic math percentages quantities and variances
- may be required to work nights weekends and/or holidays
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading writing and math skills
- some food preparation experience or training preferred
- alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required
- ability to lift and move approximately 75 pounds
- ability to bend squat kneel climb and reach daily
- ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion
- ability to move freely within the kitchen area
- ability to clean as you go in the kitchen area
- ability to stand for prolonged periods
- ability to work in temperature extremes
- ability to interact with guests and employees courteously and empathetically
- ability to read and write
- not infected by diseases transmitted through the food supply
- ability to sustain direct contact with the public with high customer service skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook orders for daily operations
- advise supervisor of low inventory items
- assist in receiving items and taking inventory
- maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards as per regulations and company requirements
- maintain clean, neat, and well-organized work area
- report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- perform ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed
- promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments
- occasionally interact with guests
- assist with other duties as assigned
