Job Requirements
- must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks
- pass pre-employment and annual physicals
- provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease
- complete Department of Defense and MCCS training requirements
- maintain 4 Hour Food Handler certification
- maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- may be required to obtain government driver’s license and purchase card
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform simple cooking tasks including preparing pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and vegetables
- prepare hot cereals, broil meats, cook soups, sauces, and gravies
- make cold sandwich fillings and prepare convenience items such as frozen hash browns and chicken nuggets
- assist in food preparation tasks like peeling, cutting, sorting, washing vegetables and fruits, assembling sandwiches, and measuring ingredients
- weigh, measure, and dispense foods according to portion controls
- mix ingredients precisely following written recipes
- stock food service carts with appropriate items for family style dining
- transport food from kitchen to classrooms or activity areas
- pre-rinse and wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
- clean serving carts, food preparation areas, and dishwashing stations
- operate and maintain mechanical dishwashers
- perform heavy-duty cleaning of kitchen and food service areas
- store canned, boxed, and frozen items properly with correct labeling and dating
- maintain accurate food inventory and rotate stock
- comply with security, fire and sanitation rules and policies
- adhere to USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program standards
- serve as a mandatory reporter for suspected child abuse
- provide world class customer service focusing on courtesy and problem solving
- promptly report workplace hazards, injuries, or property damage
- support Equal Employment Opportunity and sexual harassment prevention principles
