The role of Cook 5 within Park Hyatt Aviara is a critical position that requires comprehensive skills and knowledge across all kitchen operations. Job Requirements

  • Culinary education or equivalent experience required
  • minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining or line cooking
  • ability to monitor and manage food production and quality
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • leadership ability to direct kitchen staff in absence of sous chef
  • proficiency with kitchen computer systems and cost control
  • availability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • Good communication skills required
  • at least 5 years of previous line and fine dining experience preferred
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • able to work most stations of the kitchen

Job Duties

  • Produce consistent and high-quality food products
  • monitor food production, quality, and consistency daily
