Job Description
Trilogy Valor is the newest anticipated resort community located within the master plan of Valor in the Treasure Valley area, southwest of downtown Boise, Idaho. This community is designed specifically for active adults who are looking for a vibrant and engaging lifestyle. Trilogy Valor stands out as a premier living destination featuring a variety of upscale amenities that cater to both relaxation and active living. The centerpiece of Trilogy Valor will be a Resort Club that offers a fitness center, culinary studio, coffeehouse, pickleball and bocce courts, and outdoor event spaces. These features make Trilogy Valor not just a neighborhood but a lifestyle choice for those seeking an active and social community environment.
The Cook 4 position at Trilogy Valor offers a full-time career opportunity at an hourly pay rate ranging from $22 to $24 per hour. This role is a vital part of the Food & Beverage Team at the Trilogy Resort Club and reports directly to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef. As a Cook 4, the individual will be responsible for a comprehensive range of food preparation and cooking duties essential to delivering excellent culinary experiences to guests. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who is passionate about cooking, enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
The responsibilities of the Cook 4 extend beyond basic cooking to include mastering all kitchen stations and taking on leadership roles within the kitchen. The role includes training new staff on station assignments and recipe standards, cross-training existing staff across various kitchen stations, and ensuring all dishes are plated flawlessly. The Cook 4 is critical in leading kitchen service activities such as reading and managing ticket orders, monitoring cooking times and food quality, and upholding plating standards. Additionally, the role involves assisting management in developing innovative weekly and daily specials, aiming to enhance the culinary offerings regularly.
A key focus of the Cook 4 role is guest satisfaction and operational excellence. The Cook 4 must ensure the kitchen maintains superior service standards, promptly resolve issues that arise during food service, and lead sanitation efforts by monitoring the cleaning schedule and checklist. The role requires proficiency in a wide range of cooking processes, including washing, peeling, cutting, roasting, baking, and broiling various ingredients. Employees in this position will occasionally assume responsibilities typically delegated to higher kitchen management, like the sous chef or kitchen manager, highlighting the importance of leadership and versatility in this role.
Trilogy Valor values team members who are customer-oriented, capable of working under pressure, and able to balance multiple priorities efficiently. The work environment predominantly consists of an indoor kitchen equipped with modern tools such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and mixers, but may also occasionally include outdoor event settings. This role demands physical stamina, as it requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the work shift. Trilogy Valor emphasizes core values such as honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and a competitive spirit, expecting employees to embody these principles in their daily work.
In addition to competitive pay, Trilogy Valor offers excellent benefits for full-time team members, including eligibility for medical, dental, and life insurance plans after 60 days of employment, paid time off accrual, paid holidays, and participation in a 401(k) plan. This comprehensive package ensures that employees are supported in their personal and professional lives, contributing to a motivated and engaged workforce. Trilogy Valor is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourages individuals committed to quality and excellence to join their team.
