The role of Cook at Summit Elementary School within the Forest Hills Local Schools district is a vital position responsible for supporting the school nutrition program during the 2026-27 school year. This part-time position offers approximately 3.5 hours of daily work with hours to be determined, and pays a competitive wage ranging between $17.28 and $21.18 per hour. While this position does not provide insurance benefits, it does offer paid sick leave, personal days, and opportunities for professional advancement within the school food service system.

As a Cook, you will be tasked with food preparation and serving duties aligned with established district recipes and standards. Your responsibilities will include portioning food and preparing the cafeteria line for serving to students and staff, ensuring adherence to government lunch patterns and pricing guidelines. Learning and operating the cash register in compliance with district money-handling procedures will be required.
