Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years of line and full-service restaurant experience
  • culinary degree preferred but not required
  • strong knowledge of cooking techniques including soups, sauces, stocks, frying and broiling
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • flexibility to work various shifts
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • good communication skills
  • three years of previous line experience preferred
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • able to work multiple kitchen stations
  • able to work under moderate supervision and training
  • leadership ability in supervisor absence

Job Duties

  • perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling
  • work multiple stations in the kitchen
  • provide direction in the absence of supervisor
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards
  • collaborate with team members to ensure timely food preparation
  • adhere to Hyatt quality and presentation standards
  • assist with inventory management and ordering
