The Cook 3 position at Park Hyatt Aviara is an intermediate-level culinary role designed for candidates with solid foundational cooking skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This hourly role offers a competitive wage of $25.00 per hour and is ideal for individuals with prior hotel cooking experience or a culinary degree. The position demands good communication skills and proficiency in managing single kitchen stations independently, while still receiving supervision and training. As part of the culinary team, the Cook 3 will be responsible for preparing various dishes with professional knowledge of ingredients and cooking procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Culinary degree or relevant hotel cooking experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under supervision
- Physical stamina for long standing periods
- Willingness to learn and take direction
Job Qualifications
- Refined verbal communication skills
- Two years of previous line cooking experience preferred
- Culinary degree or related hotel culinary experience preferred
- Ability to perform all basic cooking skills
- Capable of managing a single station efficiently
