Job Description

Invited is a prominent leader in the hospitality and service industry, known for its exceptional commitment to building relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and employees. Founded in 1957, Invited has steadily grown to become the largest owner and operator of private clubs in the United States, managing over 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs nationwide. Each of Invited's clubs is equipped with first-class amenities designed to provide an unparalleled experience. These assets include championship golf courses, modern workspaces conducive to productivity, handcrafted cuisine crafted by skilled chefs, resort-style pools for leisure, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and comprehensive fitness centers that cater to a variety of athletic pursuits.

Within this expansive and dynamic company, the role of Cook 3 is essential to the culinary excellence and operational success of the kitchen. This senior kitchen position calls for a professional who is not only highly skilled in culinary arts but who also possesses strong leadership capabilities to guide and support junior kitchen staff such as Cook 1 and Cook 2 team members. The Cook 3 is responsible for leading food preparation, production, and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets Invited's high standards for quality and consistency. This entails overseeing the setup and organization of their workstation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and managing efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The Cook 3 plays a pivotal role in the kitchen by handling complex cooking tasks and setting an example of culinary precision and professionalism. Beyond food preparation, this role involves collaborating closely with the kitchen leadership team — including the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef — on activities such as menu planning, recipe development, and product testing. The Cook 3 may also take charge during shifts in the absence of the Sous Chef, alongside mentoring and instructing less experienced cooks to cultivate a positive and productive team atmosphere.

Working at Invited means embracing a culture of inclusivity, excellence, and proactive service. The Cook 3 is expected to interact professionally with members and guests, accommodate last-minute requests, provide exceptional service recovery, and contribute to a seamless dining experience that reflects the club’s values. This position requires a high degree of physical stamina, effective communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure with a focus on maintaining safety and sanitation standards at all times.

As part of Invited’s dedicated team, the Cook 3 enjoys a supportive work environment and access to a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an industry leader while advancing one’s culinary career in a professional and rewarding setting.
