Job Requirements

Completion of eighth grade education
One to two years cooking experience in a large food service operation
Ability to operate standard kitchen machinery
Ability to read menus, work schedules, and prices
Possess interpersonal skills to interact effectively with hospital patients, visitors, and staff
Availability for evening and rotating shifts including weekends
Compliance with drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

Completion of eighth grade education
One to two years cooking experience in a large food service operation
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Ability to operate kitchen equipment and machinery
Ability to read and follow instructions
Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff

Job Duties

Prepare, season, and cook food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
Operate manual and/or electric kitchen utensils and equipment
Read and follow instructions, recipes, and menu schedules
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
Interact courteously and effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
Assist in inventory management and kitchen supply organization
