As the official concessions and premium dining provider at this iconic Major League Baseball venue, Delaware North has been serving fans and visitors since the park's opening in 2016. With a capacity of 41,500 seats, Truist Park is a state-of-the-art ballpark and the home of the Atlanta Braves. Working in such a vibrant environment, you will be part of a company deeply rooted in hospitality excellence, known for its global legacy and family-owned values with over 100 years of history. Delaware North operations span across sports arenas, national parks, casinos, hotels, and retail, making it a versatile platform offering unique career growth opportunities worldwide.
Joining Delaware North means becoming a member of a passionate team that values collaboration, creativity, and professional development. Our organization not only places emphasis on delivering exceptional guest experiences but also invests heavily in the personal and career advancement of our team members. We prioritize flexible work schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits, making it an excellent choice for individuals seeking both growth and stability in the hospitality sector.
This particular role is a seasonal position that runs throughout the baseball season, starting in March and continuing until October, possibly extending during playoffs. The pay rate for this role is $19.05 per hour. The position enables aspiring culinarians and experienced cooks alike to showcase their culinary talents in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while gaining invaluable experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service.
As a Cook at Delaware North Sportservice, you will be entrusted with a variety of essential kitchen responsibilities. Your day-to-day duties will include preparing food items according to specific recipes and portion sizes, ensuring compliance with all quality standards, health codes, and sanitation regulations. You will operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintain cleanliness and organization at your workstation, and manage inventory to minimize waste. Additionally, you will engage in opening, closing, and side work duties, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly from start to finish. The role demands not only technical skills but also strong attention to detail, the ability to collaborate with team members, and a commitment to upholding Delaware North's high standards of food safety and guest satisfaction.
Working with Delaware North offers much more than just a job. Our benefits package is designed to support your well-being both inside and outside the workplace. All team members receive weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Depending on eligibility, employees can access health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company matching contributions, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. We believe in investing in our people because we understand that their success directly fuels our collective achievements.
Physically, this role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach high shelves, bend, and squat, and maintain standing and walking throughout shifts in a moderately noisy environment. Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip ingredients, along with operating kitchen equipment, is essential. The work environment also exposes employees to variable temperatures, demanding a resilient and adaptable approach.
If you are a motivated individual with at least one year of back-of-house foodservice experience, capable of reading and following prep sheets and recipes, equipped with basic math skills for precise recipe measurements, and excited about being part of a team that creates memorable dining experiences, we encourage you to apply. Join Delaware North and be part of shaping the future of hospitality at one of the nation's premier sports venues.
