The position of Cook 2 is based at Principal Park, a venue renowned for hosting the Iowa Cubs baseball games. This role plays a crucial part in the suite dining experience, preparing food items for suite orders that may include buffet service and individual orders. The Cook 2 is responsible not only for food preparation but also for the setup, sanitation, cleaning, and closing of their workstation area. Given the dynamic and fast-paced environment characteristic of sporting events, the role requires flexibility, great attendance, and the capacity to work varied shifts during event schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays from March through May aligning with the Iowa Cubs baseball season.

This is a part-time position offering an hourly wage of $24.00. Part-time employees benefit from a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, showcasing OVG’s commitment to supporting employees’ financial futures. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience as prep cook or line cook highly desired
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare all ordered food for assigned suites, plating according to menu description, in accordance with company/State health and safety standards
  • Ensure proper storage of all food and cleaning and sanitation products
  • Maintains a positive work environment
  • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and employment regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen for the food and beverage operation
