Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a leading hospitality and food service company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences in high-profile venues. Currently, Delaware North is seeking a seasonal Cook to join their dynamic culinary team at Nu Stadium, located in Miami, Florida. Nu Stadium is set to become a premier soccer stadium and entertainment destination in South Florida, opening in 2026 as the future home of Inter Miami CF. This state-of-the-art venue will host world-class soccer matches, concerts, and live entertainment events year-round, making it a vibrant hub for sports and entertainment enthusiasts. Delaware North will manage stadium concessions and premium food and beverage services at this iconic location, providing innovative culinary experiences that celebrate Miami’s diverse culture while elevating classic stadium favorites.
As a Cook at Nu Stadium, you will play a crucial role in the food preparation process, ensuring quality and compliance with safety and portion control standards. This seasonal position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $30.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to fairly compensating skilled team members. The role demands a focus on teamwork, innovation, and a passion for culinary excellence. The Cook will collaborate closely with serving team members to meet guest expectations efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include adhering to departmental policies and procedures, maintaining proper food temperatures and storage conditions, and ensuring that all menu items meet freshness and quality standards.
Delaware North emphasizes a supportive work environment with flexible schedules, training, and development opportunities, weekly pay, and employee discounts. Eligible team members can also benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, paid vacations and holidays, paid parental leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursements. The company values its employees and fosters a culture where personal and professional growth is encouraged across its global operations.
The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various kitchen tasks such as chopping, mixing, blending, whipping, and operating kitchen equipment. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach, bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended hours in environments that may have moderate to high noise levels. This position does not require a high school diploma or GED, making it accessible to candidates with varying educational backgrounds but demands at least one year of previous experience in back-of-house food service. Basic math skills and the ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes are essential for success in this role.
The shift includes working days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and during events, necessitating flexibility and a strong commitment to service. Join Delaware North’s culinary team and be part of shaping the future of hospitality at Nu Stadium, where you will contribute to memorable experiences in one of Miami’s most exciting new venues.
