As a Cook at Legends Global, you will be directly responsible for the preparation, execution, and safe delivery of food items that meet the highest standards of quality and sanitation. Your work will contribute to the smooth operation of food service outlets during venue events and enhance the guest experience. The position is part-time with competitive compensation ranging from $20.34 to $22.60 per hour.\n\nThe Cook role requires maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times while working collaboratively with supervisors, chefs, attendants, and other team members. You will be tasked with fulfilling opening and closing duties, adhering to recipes, managing stock and storage areas such as walk-in coolers and dry storage, and communicating effectively across departments. The role necessitates flexibility with scheduling to meet service demands which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • two to four years working in a fast paced restaurant, caterer or relevant food service area
  • ability to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly
  • able to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • able to speak and read basic English
  • able to work well with others in stressful environments
  • able to move quickly and act on assigned duties
  • maintain personal hygiene and well groomed appearance
  • capable of walking long distances and standing for extended periods
  • able to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, walk fast, and bend
  • flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • two to four years working in a fast paced restaurant, caterer or relevant food service area
  • proactive, self-motivated, organized and ability to prioritize
  • clean and constantly aware of sanitation procedures
  • ability to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly
  • punctual and dependable
  • able to read and retain information including recipes, prep lists, menus and signage
  • able to perform simple mathematical calculations

  • able to move quickly and act on assigned duties

  • experience working in a fast paced professional kitchen environment in close quarters

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
  • report for scheduled event on time and to assigned area in a timely manner
  • fulfill assigned opening and closing duties
  • report to direct supervisor for prep lists and timelines of the day's tasks
  • carry out assigned tasks in a timely and safe fashion using correct recipes
  • maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage and all work areas
  • have extensive knowledge of all menus being offered including specials
  • communicate with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and Legends Management
  • work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within venue
  • pay attention to detail that will exceed expectations
  • maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly kitchen setting
  • complete closing duties and checkout with manager or supervisor
  • know layout of kitchen and back of house areas and be able to direct staff and guests
  • be aware of other food and beverage outlets within venue
  • be flexible to re-assignment to different locations based on venue needs
  • work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
