A valid U.S. driver’s license is also required due to the nature of the role.
The Cook position at Hyatt Vacation Club is integral to providing outstanding food services that enhance the overall guest experience. This role involves operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare a variety of foods following strict food safety and handling policies, including HACCP guidelines. The cook will ensure all potentially hazardous foods are cooked to the correct temperatures and carry out setup and breakdown of workstations efficiently. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the company’s food safety programs is essential. Beyond food preparation, the cook contributes to the welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests, addressing their needs, and working collaboratively with colleagues. This position demands physical stamina to handle activities such as standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other motions required in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
