Its comprehensive approach aims to enhance the well-being of its clients, employees, and the communities it serves through sustainable and innovative practices. With a steadfast commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Sodexo fosters an environment where every employee is valued and empowered.

This position is based at Batten University and offers flexible work schedules with varying shifts, including options for full-time or part-time employment. The hourly wage ranges between $15.00 and $20.00, making this role both accessible and competitive for candidates seeking culinary opportunities within an educational institution setting. Sodexo prioritizes work-life balance by promoting a supportive work environment, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth.

As a Cook at Sodexo, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality dining experiences through the preparation and cooking of various hot and cold food items. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will uphold Sodexo's rigorous standards for food safety, presentation, and consistency. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you will efficiently prepare food for different meal periods and special events, ensuring that each dish meets Sodexo's quality expectations. Your role will involve collaboration with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and sanitary workstation.

Beyond cooking, this role requires mobility and physical endurance, as it includes extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. You will also follow recipes and food handling procedures, contribute to food production planning, and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and corporate food safety standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for cooking, a commitment to quality, and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment where your contributions enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees’ health and well-being as well as professional development. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401k plan, and employee discount programs. Some locations may provide additional perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation assistance.

Joining Sodexo means being part of a company that values you for who you are, treats you with respect, and encourages your ideas to be heard.
