As a Cook at The Forest at Duke, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission by preparing and serving food with excellence and attention to detail. Job Requirements
- Minimum one year experience in food preparation, handling, and cooking
- Prior experience in fine dining or luxury hotel/resort kitchens preferred
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work well with residents, families, and staff
- Customer service focus with conflict resolution skills
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in food preparation, handling, and cooking
- Prior experience in fine dining or five-star/four-star hotel and resort kitchens highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Can-do spirit with ability to build positive relationships
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
- ServSafe Certification highly preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to menu specifications and safety standards
- Serve meals promptly and courteously to residents, guests, and staff
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and service areas
