Milestone is a rapidly expanding senior living operator known for its dedication to exceptional hospitality and care within the senior living industry. With over a century of combined experience in hospitality and senior care, Milestone prides itself on fostering a collaborative work environment where teamwork, creativity, and a genuine impact on the well-being of residents and staff are paramount. The company focuses not only on providing high-quality living experiences for seniors but also on supporting its employees through competitive benefits and a positive work culture. Recognized as one of the fastest-growing operators in this sector, Milestone seeks to maintain its reputation through innovation and a strong commitment to resident satisfaction and staff development.

The Cook role at Milestone is a vital position within the culinary services team, reporting directly to the Director of Culinary Services. This role is centered on preparing and serving meals that adhere to stringent nutritional and safety standards while ensuring that residents’ dining experiences are both enjoyable and fulfilling. The Cook will play a crucial part in supporting the culinary operations and dining services, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen, and fostering a welcoming and hygienic environment for residents and staff alike. The role offers an hourly wage starting at $21 and is suited for individuals passionate about cooking and dedicated to creating meaningful meals tailored to the dietary requirements of older adults.

In this position, the Cook will regularly prepare meals according to approved menus and dietary specifications, ensuring food safety through proper storage, cooking, and serving temperatures. Beyond meal preparation, this role requires maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment, including the upkeep of all cooking and preparation equipment. The Cook will also assist in training and mentoring culinary staff, emphasizing teamwork and a collaborative spirit within the kitchen and dining service team. Monitoring resident preferences is another key responsibility, along with ensuring compliance with all safety and health standards, particularly food safety regulations. The role demands strong organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively within a dynamic team setting. Additionally, the Cook must be vigilant in reporting any elder maltreatment or abuse, aligning with the company’s commitment to the safety and dignity of its residents.

Milestone offers a supportive work environment packed with perks for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off, pet insurance, perks at work, an employee assistance program, and additional voluntary benefits options. The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, actively cultivating an environment where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed and valued.
