The role of Cook at Sunrise Senior Living is a vital part of the Dining Services team, centered around preparing and serving high-quality meals tailored to meet the nutritional and taste preferences of the senior residents. This position plays a key role in supporting residents’ health through careful food preparation that adheres to strict dietary requirements and safety standards. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals according to standardized recipes and menus that promote well-being and enjoyment. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines. Additionally, you will manage food inventory by stocking, rotating, dating, and storing food items correctly to assure freshness and safety.

Your responsibilities also include recording production quantities and food safety temperatures, maintaining cleaning logs, and equipment maintenance reports. This attention to detail helps prevent contamination and ensures a safe dining experience. The cook will support dishwashing and dining service operations as needed and may lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator, demonstrating leadership and accountability in maintaining kitchen operations. The pay range for this role is competitive, between $14.10 and $17.70 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position in contributing to the company’s mission.
